In this edition of Spotlight, we are pleased to tell readers more about Kimble & Associates, their unique role in IdM, as a Kantara Accredited Assessor, and why they became Members of Kantara Initiative.
1) Why was your company created, and how is it providing real-world value today?
Kimble & Associates was created to develop technology and strategy solutions that, ultimately, make an impact on society as a whole. For over 15 years we’ve helped clients create and implement strategic plans for many complex, high profile initiatives. Clients include federal agencies, such as the White House and DARPA, to numerous cutting edge technology companies like Verizon, Lockheed Martin, and Honeywell.
Given the current state of the internet and personal information online, many of our most recent projects have focused on online privacy and security. By strengthening internet identity solutions, a vast number of additional services – such as those for healthcare, education and government – can be moved online in a more secure manner.
From crafting far reaching, multi-million dollar initiatives to leading results-driven, high performance teams, Kimble and Associates blends it’s passion for building strategic alliances and their commitment to sound, efficient leadership to deliver exemplary and steadfast client success.
2) Where is your organization envisioned to be strategically in the next 5-10 years?
Our strategy has always been focused on leveraging technology and strategy to make a difference in society. We plan to continue building long-term strategic relationships with our clients and broadening the reach of their services and solutions across many different markets.
3) Why did you join Kantara Initiative?
We are excited to be a part of the core process of improving online transactions. We feel that the work the Kantara Initiative does helps improve the security and privacy controls of a vast array technologies and user data which, ultimately, enhances usability. As Assessors we will work with our clients to help improve their security and privacy posture and ultimately enable new services for their products.
4) What else should we know about your organization, the service/product, or even your own experiences?
Over the past 15 years, Kimble and Associates has experience in helping clients develop and implement strategic solutions for a wide variety of cutting edge technology projects. Our work has included bringing forensic science and biometrics to crime laboratories and first responder teams across the nation, to working with DARPA on warfighter technologies, to spending the past 10 years focusing on the online identity issue. We’ve been instrumental in deploying smartcards across 80 US federal agencies and to over 800,000 citizens. Most recently, we’ve been working with the private and public sectors to write and implement the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC). We blend technological expertise with a passion for building strategic partnerships and brining sound, efficient leadership to address many of today’s important issues – healthcare, education, family identity and mobility – and we look forward to continue working with our clients to make an impact across these markets and more.
